He has worked for reputable and renowned media houses like VISION GROUP – incorporated as New Vision Printing and Publishing Corporation – Project Coordinator for the Promotion of Human Rights and Enhancing Access to Justice through Media Interventions project.

He is an accomplished organizational development, human rights defender, media and leadership consultant, business trainer, strategist and solution-oriented person who thrives in challenging, fast paced environments where his performance directly impacts the bottom line. a) Fighting for the fundamental rights and freedom of expression is our core. In addition to amplifying access to justice through media interventions, defending and promoting human rights, nurturing, and molding young change makers for a better society.

b) Media has a critical role to play in fostering accountability and transparency in national affairs as well as enabling active citizenship. A more informed and engaged citizenry is more likely to demand transparency and to hold those in positions of power accountable. Munno Media believes that in order for the media to fulfil this role, they must be reliable and credible sources of information on public affairs, effective tools for monitoring the use (and abuse) of power, and vibrant forums for public debate.

c) Quality public affairs reporting and investigative journalism can facilitate these conditions. Such journalism, imbued with public interest values, provides information that is significant and relevant. It offers context and perspective; it drives public debate on the issues of the day, including rarely discussed subjects that affect people’s lives; it is credible and authoritative; it upholds the value of diversity; it is fair, accurate and impartial; it is independent (from vested interests, be they political or commercial).

a) Our work entails voicing out the concerns of the most vulnerable citizens and groups of marginalized groups in Uganda. We speak out for the weak and empower them to ably fight, defend and demand for their rights because human rights are inherent, NOT granted by anybody but endowed by our creator. Munno Media group endeavors to promote and advance the freedom of speech, access to information as opposed to keeping people behind closed doors of ignorance which is the major driver of backwardness and death.

c) Our interventions provide Media and Information Literature: This enables people to interpret and make informed judgments as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information and media messages in their own right.

d) Our Media and information improve quality of life: There is no denying the extent of how the media and information age has drastically improved the lives of people. Communication has been made easier. Information has become widely accessible. Conducting research has become more convenient. All these and more are enjoyed by media literate individuals and prove just how much the quality of life has improved thanks to media and information.

e) Our Media intervention and Information makes individuals as more cohesive social units: Media and information nurtures literate individuals who are more cohesive social units than those who are not. By keeping them informed, as well as connecting them in ways that weren’t possible before, Munno’s interventions help them become more cohesive social units.
